Set against the backdrop of Brighton and Hove's vibrant seaside ambiance, our clients embarked on a mission to rejuvenate their forever home. A prime example of this attention to detail can be seen in the floor-to-ceiling cabinetry, where careful consideration was given to ventilation requirements and accessibility. The chimney, in particular, presented a unique opportunity for bespoke craftsmanship. Here, the integration of niches was conceived not just as functional storage but as seamless extensions of the quartz work surface. By extending the stone of the bottom shelf into the niche, we ensured a fluid transition and provided a practical surface for everyday essentials like oils, salt, and pepper.
Symmetry emerged as a guiding principle in shaping the kitchen's visual narrative. Quartz shelves flanking the chimney breast served not only to balance the space but also to create a sense of visual harmony. Similarly, tall cabinetry created bookended either side of the bar helped to establish it as a distinct zone within the broader kitchen layout. The careful orchestration of lighting further elevated the ambiance of the space. Vertical strips framing the bar area added a touch of drama, while hidden sensor lights inside the pantry ensured practicality. Also, recessed strip lights integrated into the quartz shelves not only accentuated their beauty but enhanced their functionality.
In crafting spaces for everyday living, comfort and ergonomics are paramount. The incorporation of a scallop footwell beneath the sink was a testament to this ethos, providing ample space for users while washing up. This thoughtful design element seamlessly integrated with the external plinth along the cabinetry base, ensuring a cohesive and user-centric approach to the kitchen layout.
In essence, through meticulous attention to detail and a relentless pursuit of excellence, this space has been transformed into a haven of style and functionality, tailored to the unique needs and desires of the homeowners.
